We offer opportunities to grow your skills and certification without investing a ton of money. We offer instructor courses internally for some of our training brands and earn money when classes are taught. Team members are also able to attend and receive certification in our courses.
FAQ's About Volunteering
How do I apply?
Join our team, because without you, we can't meet our mission. You don't need to be a first responder, medical provider, or instructor to bring value to ESO. We encourage anyone who wants to support first responders, medical providers, veterans, and the many public servants that make the American dream possible. Don't be shy!
- Get your resume or CV together and updated including your current references.
- Submit the online application form and upload your resume/ CV and any certifications or licence copies relevant.
- We will email you for additional information, including an IRS form W-9 (we will supply it for you).
- Once approved we will set you up with an online orientation and access to our resources.
Can I volunteer remotely?
Yes! We do most of our work remotely through collaboration. We have some tools that make this easier. You can also work on projects at the time of day that works best for you in most cases. We use deadlines and have synchronous meetings, but a lot of the work can be done at 3 A.M. if that works best for you.
Is there a minimum hour volunteer requirement?
We do have a time commitment requirement of 1 hour per month in addition to team meetings. Your team or project leader will help coordinate time commitments. Everyone's life presents competing priorities often unexpectedly. Your team leader will work with you to reach our mission in the time you can give. Communication is the key.
What technology requirements do you have?
Since much of our collaboration is done at a distance, frequent access to the internet is a requirement. We utilize a suite of software providing access to a company email assigned to you, cloud drive access, and typical programs for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, etc. Many of the programs we use can also be accessed via a mobile device like smartphone or tablet. We do not require a computer if you choose to use your mobile device to complete work. We are always in need of working technology donations so if you know of someone who can help, please direct our team to them.
Can my volunteer time count toward the SNAP volunteer hours?
We are in the process of building our compliant program.
